Macross Frontier 2~16

After being rescued by Alto, Ranka goes back to thank him. At the place where she was supposed to meet Alto, instead she meets Sheryl, a pop singer who Ranka admires. Since then, Ranka tries hard to be a famous star and works her way to the top. For starters, entering a miss macross contest. As the days go by, Sheryl and Alto gets closer to one another and Ranka starts to have feelings towards Alto. Everyday Ranka tries hard to be a star. In one episode, Ranka, Alto, and Sheryl goes to film a movie. When the director sees Ranka singing it to "Aimo" he decides to put her in the movie. On an island, Ranka is getting attacked by a monster when Brera comes and rescues her. They both film a movie and even kiss in the kiss scene. Later, Sheryl had to sing, but couldn't because of her illness. And that's where Ranka comes in and sings for her which saves the day. When Alto takes her back while Sheryl is rested, Alto and Ranka both crashes on an island. When things go bad, Ranka gets trapped in an egg? and Alto cant help but not be able to save her, but luckily, Brera saves her, telling Alto that he's not meant for her and that Ranka will be protected by him. Of course by this time, Ranka's fame has gone way up even more than Sheryl so she's almost everywhere. Few days after the incident, Ranka gets a news that she'll be having a new bodyguard and it happens to be Brera. She also gets a notice that she'll have to help them because the Vajra reacts differently whenever she sings "Aimo" and stops shooting. When they go to test it out, it is proven that her song does have some effect on the Vajras. Which leads Ranka to wonder whether or not if this is all okay.
Throughout the whole story so far, Ranka's feelings towards Alto grew more and as well as Sheryl, but in a different way. It seemed like theye both had turns with Alto. I'm sure they both know that they both are interested in Alto and he probably knows that both of them likes him as well. But to me, it seems as if Alto has feelings for both of them but in a different way and he's not too sure about it. It's sort of sad seeing Sheryl's fame go downhill, but that's what she wanted; she wanted to be a normal person, whereas, Ranka really tried hard to be on the top and she really got it. So as of right now, I don't think Ranka will end up with Alto. Instead she got something she wanted and Sheryl will get something she wants as well, Alto. But I could always be wrong. Sorry I had to cram all 15 episodes in one entry, but hopefully if youve been watching youll know the story way better than I do.
